1. Treasurer Report – looking for Treasurer 2026-2027 (msg to incoming 6th graders and share at Council meeting/tomorrow.  Note: Holiday items in Jaguar Den on hold.

2. Principal’s Report – (ARB)

  • Teachers lounge- new sofa, chair, loveseat – tons of thanks. (Ms Kawalski came on soon after to thank you too. 
  • Thank you all parents- Winter Wonderland- saw teacher(s) in different light, cat toys made, games, etc. 
  • Thank you for hot cocoa and cookies. 
  • MLK CW Lewis – (Skylar Harris being recognized)- ARB is also speaking – 20th anniversary. 
  • Mullen recognized as PBIS school – presentation in Mercer soon. 
  • District calendar dates are up – volleyball tournament, volley ball club and March madness and more. 

NOTE: 6th grade- all over Jaguar Den. 8th grade lot of spending and 7th grade are in and out.  Rep for Jag Den in near future needed.

  3. Friendship Grams selling Valentine’s, start 1/26 (runs 2 weeks) Deliver 2/12 $3.50 (send to friends, parents, teachers- candy bars, chips, message and or Oreos, etc.)
  4. 8th Grade Yard Signs ARB approved, design is online $12 and to be delivered in May (offering pick up or delivery option) Order form, Google form sent next month. (customize w/ name – would need more time longer than 14 day turnaround time)

  1.  January 19: MLK Day of Service: CW Lewis 9:00am-12:00pm  8:30 registration/check-in w/ breakfast- district site is up- slots filling fast. 
  2. January 29: NJHS Student Induction 7 p.m. begins HSC to provide snacks, 53 children being inducted. 
  3. January 30: Spirit Day 
  4. February 2-26: Krispy Kreme Fundraiser link to purchase 12 dozen donuts to be sent. 
  5. February 11: HSC Candy Bar Bingo $5 for family? Free to HSC members-(1 hour set)board to purchase addt’l flyer. 
  6. February 17-25: Book Fair school runs/signup for parent volunteers will be sent. 
  7. February 19: Graduation Pictures Retake / Evening Parent Teacher Conferences 6 p.m. to 7:40 p.m.
  8. February 20th added- 6:30 Bingo, GL Twp Educational Foundation/Designer bag tickets $35 (raffles/snacks etc.)

  2. New Business Mullen Pages: Phase I parents who own business(es)- location/contact information given- send tier program if interested- to be featured. *purchase website $300 (replace blog).

  3. Questions/Concerns
    1. ARB notes that sports teams- maybe end of year pizza party – coordinate with coach(es), school does not plan* reach out to coach(es)
    2. February question for Black History month – ARB will check with Social Studies class(es)
    3. *HSC to decide HSC Candy Bar Bingo – check for Bingo boards, cap # of students? Normally setting is in the cafeteria. Traditional bingo, 4 corners, X – kid friendly- take inventory, touch base w/ Ms Love and Ms Orcutt. 
    4. Activity calendar – suggestion for a newsletter to show rest of month/year activities. Sometimes can be overwhelming to see everything at once. But some can see as a plan and show ideas – 2 months + heads up vs weeks.
      1. Events on activity calendar start over the Summer from year before, fundraisers on board, the ideas come up by the school board, ideas -suggestions are welcomed. 
      2. Need capacity/need someone to help with monthly newsletter w/ important dates.
        1. *interest survey may be sent. 
    5. Holiday shop – 2 days volunteer noted and vendor sent everything to us – those items not sold, are sent back
      1. There is an ipad utilized in another school – it was very overwhelming in current process- need easier, faster system
        1. Requirements for us to be online – WIFI

Note: Also certificates not giving change $10 cert and only spent $8 or $9- no change back- parents were supposed to be aware

  1. ARB can give the information/access in advance notice needed for the WIFI. 
  2. Question posed: Holiday shop was successful this year- do next year?
    1. If we have someone in there consistently
    2. Book fair model: teacher bring in rather – smaller period – sign up shifts
      1. 6th grade shop X, Y, Z days- stagger
        1. Only kids with $ come in the Jag Den. 
        2. They can plan/bring $ certain day(s). 
        3. Explore order forms, give catalog (see preview)
          1. Collect, delivery, prepay, inventory taken. 
          2. Can re order if run out. 
          3. Parents and kids more prepared this way. 
  1. PBIS attendance – Winter Wonderland, Franklin Institute and HSC meetings etc; Implement meeting ARB will do (Lassiter adds too)– past and present HSC meeting attendance * to send to ARB. 
  2. Mullen basketball- championship games coming up 2/3 and 2/5 – 800+ people and HSC to provide concessions. (3:45 p.m.)
